I've been working on a pretty time consuming top secret government project, and then there's exams... and that's all. nfi what fandom or the music scene is up to (although somehow despite that I got into 2PM? This song is much better than 10 points, though.) And I hope none of you have had any major crisis or sth. recently, because I haven't kept up with the flist either. I'm reading the journals for the last week or so though~ I'm too lazy to read two months of backlog. Ahah. 8D;

♔ Yoong! She's really growing on me. I love the way she laughs! ♥
♔ I like 'Sorry, Sorry' the same way I like Gee - it's catchy and I keep playing it. But again, I'm not sure I like the direction SM's artists are going now. For a company where solid vocals are a focus, the title tracks are now more synthesized instead of more interesting melodies and pretty harmonies and such.
♔ Did I say how much I love Bolero? Because I do. Boleroooooooo. It's so pretty, and I love Junsu's parts. I've had it on repeat all week 8D
♔ I actually really like Survivor, too. It keeps making me laugh I think the B-side would've made a better single, though?
♔ Do I have any Big Bang fans on my flist? Can someone recommend me a show or something where I can easily familiarise myself with the boys (not just their music)? I only know Seungri and Daesung. :x

And on an unrelated note, I've been doing some work in our garden, and my Lobelia seeds have sprouted! I am ridiculously happy about it! xD I honestly thought they all died. My dad even bought me some pre-grown plants so I wouldn't feel bad about it. 8D;;

I just watched The Most Distant Course (which is reviewed nicely here). And guys, I really recommend it. I'm not sure what sort of movies everyone likes, and this probably doesn't fall into the usual categories, but it's worth watching in my opinion. It's not entertaining. It doesn't make me laugh (or it did, but somehow it felt inappropriate). But it's just a gorgeous film. The slow panning, the lack of music, the attention to surroundings, minimal dialogue - it really draws you in. There's no narration, and the individual stories in the movie are both direct and indirect. It's about people who have lost happiness and are unsure how to get it back, and so embark on a journey. It's very slow paced - again, not for everyone. (But I liked it. It's bittersweet and introspective. It made me feel like I need to take a step back and listen to things properly.) I like the actors, too. Gui Lunmei (of Secret fame) isn't particularly pretty imo, but she's got this fragility which is appealing. The only thing that didn't sit well with me was Ah Tsai's lack of catharsis, but I can't think of another way to finish his story without a cliche and I liked it regardless. I just like closure.

Maybe this film isn't all that special, but I don't watch that many arthouse feature films so this really stood out to me. I usually only get this from books and I haven't been doing much reading lately. And I like things that are thought provoking.

Okay, while it's sound and environmentally better to have a cooling system instead of an air conditioner, a cooling system just doesn't cut it when it's 40 degrees plus. all. week. And is supposed to be for all of next week, though it looks better than this week. Then again, last weekend they predicted the highest it would get was 39. I wanted more summer, but I can't sleep and just lying around makes me feel gross. And my brother spent yesterday uh. In the sun, apparently jumping into volcanic pools with no sunscreen like an idiot. Secretly, this is awesome and I wish I was fit enough to climb rockcliffs and dive into bottomless pools. He's going to get skin cancer. :|

Which reminds me; lol, on Tuesday? night, he went to one of his friends' house parties. Boys being boys, they somehow tied up one of the guys and put him in the boot of their car. Nick, being the "I'm tough and strong and can do anything!!" guy, lifted the tied up guy over his shoulder and uh. Ran around for a while and then snuck back into the house by the back door and left the tied up guy there.

...and the neighbours reported an abduction. xDDD

I think I've played Gee at least 100 times now ;; Their Inkigayo perf. was pretty brilliant, y/y? The weaker singers did just fine, and Seohyun asklfhsdfg! (And oh, the JeNy xD) Him Nae choreography kind of puts me in mind of cheerleaders.

There's a ridiculous amount of drama in my life, from almost every direction atm. EVERYONE. Put everything back in your pants, and if something annoys you, shut up and ignore it, please. Ugh. =_=

Ugh, things have been crazy busy, and we're only  a week into the new year. Forget fandom. (Although I hear DBSK's on a ten day break? And Heenim kissed X-Mas and/or Sungmin? ....all the interesting stuff happens when I'm not online =|)

GUYS. I'm thinking of taking a five hour TAFE course for baristas. Or a three hour one. Help me pick!

Three hour: the basics of making coffee, grinding beans (ha.), etc. Price: $120.

Five hour: all above AND latte art. And I sort of love those. (Also, it's described as their ultimate power session. C'mon! xD) Price: $250

...plus I can get a job in a cafe and make coffee I actually like.

In theory, I'd agree. But the first thing that came to mind was SJ-M; I haven't seen many of their performances but the ones I have were all synced. There should be allowances for sickness and other problems too, right? Idols will get hit hard. Plus, the little Olympic singer thing was blown way out of proportion. Still, maybe this will up the standard of live musical entertainment?

(Proud of the boys' win; they've earned it. Any more and it would've been too suss, BB and WG worked hard too. Changmin, I never want to see you cry like that. But good job! Best album, indeed. ♥♥)

♥ bought Mayday's Poetry of the Day After today (but couldn't find a normal (read: cheaper) version of Capricorn?) and it comes with this really cute little year calender, only I have no idea how to set it up.
